Season standings are maintained based on results of racers over the entire season
to award competitors for consistently outstanding results in their class,
as well as to award the colored "leader bibs" for the following season
to the top men and women. Season standings are computed using the
"old World Cup" points system, where points are awarded to the top 15 finishers
on a scale of 25, 20, 15, 12, 11, 10, ..., 1.
For 2001-2002, the season standings are based on your total results
in all scored races. Whenever possible, makeup races were rescheduled
for cancelled events. Due to the extremely short notice (1 week) and
the difficulty of providing the membership with adequate notice,
it was decided that the January makeup races at Heavenly Valley
would not be included in the overall season scoring.
The 2002-2002 season calendar
had 21 scoring races on the schedule;
6 were cancelled;
5 were rescheduled.
All finishes in the 18 scored races
were counted towards season awards.
