2005 Raffle - Frequently Asked Questions

 

Why a raffle?

 

The raffle is the primary fundraiser for the “Far West Masters Athlete Development Fund a subcommittee of Far West Skiing” a 501 (c) (3) Public charity. All money raised gives deserving Far West racers the opportunity to realize their ski racing dreams. Over 32 Far West athletes received scholarships in 2004/05.

 

How does the raffle work?

Purchasing a raffle ticket enters you in the drawing for the advertised prizes.

 

How much are the raffle tickets?

Raffle Tickets are $20 each.

 

What is the Grand Prize?

The Grand Prize is (Limited to the standard features listed below) an eighteen month lease on a brand new 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca.

 

o            The B9 TRIBECA 5-PASSENGER starting at $30,695 combines style and functionality for a whole new class of progressive sport utility. Enjoy the drive and feel the freedom of the open road.

 

Standard Features:

o            250-hp 3.0-liter 6-cylinder boxer engine

o            219 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm

o            Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive

o            Premium cloth upholstery

o            Cargo-area-concealed multi-compartment under-floor storage tray

o            6-speaker audio system with in-dash CD player and MP3 compatibility

o            Multifunction screen displaying audio system information, clock, ambient temperature and trip computer functions

o            Power tilt/sliding-glass moon-roof

 

When does the raffle start and finish?

Raffle tickets can be purchased from October 1st, 2005 and the drawing will take place on April 15, 2006.

 

Where can I buy raffle tickets?

 

Raffle tickets can be purchased from Far West Master Members, participating Far West ski teams and Scholarship Athletes or Eddie Mozen at 530-581-4523 or email mozen@concentic.net

 

If I win the vehicle?

The winner of the Subaru B9 Tribeca is responsible for all costs associated with possessing and operating the vehicle during the term of the lease, including the following:

                -Maintaining their own insurance

                -Taxes Per-month: Approx $36.22

                -Department of Motor Vehicle Registration fee: Approx $388.25

                -Vehicle Maintenance

 

Note: The above Sales Taxes and DMV fees are approximations and will be calculated at time of award.

Note: Winner will be required to sign a lease agreement with Santa Monica Subaru.  Lease is for an eighteen-month period and mileage allowance for the lease period is 22,500 miles. The lease is not transferable.

Is this raffle registered?

Yes. This raffle is registered with the California office of the Attorney General and adheres to requirements of Penal Code Section 320.5, that apply to “Charitable Raffles” - http://ag.ca.gov/charities

 

When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced on April 15th at the Masters Final Awards Dinner. Please call Eddie Mozen for evening dinner schedule.

 

Do I have to be present to win?

No.

 

How do I find out if I have won?

The winners will be notified by phone and e-mail.

 

 

Is there a limit to the number of tickets that I can purchase?

No.

 

Is there a limit to the number of tickets sold?

No.

 

Notes: (i) if the winner of the raffle does not respond or cannot be contacted within a 45-day period of the award the committee reserves the right to have a re-drawing for the award.

            (ii) Award may be subject to Federal and state income taxes.
